Afritada : "The Menu in All Occasions"

Ingredients:
  •  1/2 kilo pork meat cut in medium cubes
  •  1/2 carrots cut into cubes
  •  2 potatoes cut in cubes
  •  2 tbsp. corntstarch (dissolved in 1/2 cup water)
  •  1 tsp. ground black pepper
  •  3 bay leaves(laurel)
  •  salt to taste
  •  1 bell pepper cut into cubes
  •  1 cup tomato sauce
  •  3 cloves garlic minced
  •  1/4 onion diced
  •  1 pork cubes(optional)
  •  1 cup water
Here's How / Procedure to Cook Afritada: 
  1. Heat oil. Saute' garlic and onion. Add pork and saute until the outer part turns light brown
  2. Add bay leaves(laurel), tomato sauce, and ground black  pepper. Mix well. Cover about 1 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 cup of water and simmer for about 30 to 40 minutes or until pork is tender.
  4. Add potatoes, and carrots. Simmer for about 5 minutes or more until medium cooked.
  5. Add bell pepper and season with salt. Simmer for about 3 minutes.
  6. Add dissolved cornstarch. Mix well. Turn off heat and simmer with remaining heat.
  7. Serve.
